Spanish Translation Website

Looking for a Spanish translation website?  Google has over 624,000 websites listed which translate from Spanish to any other language and vice versa.  Many of these websites are free or low-cost for each use, although if I were going to use a Spanish translation website only once I would probably subscribe to one that was free as those low-cost fees; while actually low on a one-use basis, tend to add up quickly.  Even if the user is only paying $.01 per word, that penny can add up on a per-document, per-use basis given that many business documents run over 5000 words.

The level of difficulty experienced by users of these websites ranges from very easy, where the user selects the language of origin, the language being translated into, and then types the document in the language of origin, to very complex.  The most complex one I found consists of a simple Spanish/English dictionary which the user can scan to find the Spanish equivalent of an English word or phrase, or vice versa.  This site presumes that the user has at least a nodding acquaintance with both English and Spanish grammar and spelling rules. This site also claims to have the capability of teaching the user either Spanish or English.  As part of the curriculum, the user takes an exam testing their knowledge of Spanish.  At the conclusion of the exam, the user is informed of their results and receives a recommended lesson.

The third option when looking for a Spanish translation website is to go to a website that will translate the user's website to Spanish.  These websites presume that the user has a website they wish to have translated from English to Spanish.  There is an interview process which is undertaken which asks questions about the website and how much of the website needs to be translated from English to Spanish.  This site claims that studies show that Spanish speakers are spending up to 55% of their time online looking at Spanish, rather than English, sites.  Some of these are free, some are not.  The ones that are not free also do things like work out a schedule for maintaining the user's website, which is something the free websites leave up to the user.

The final option found on Google is the Spanish translation website that translates text to speech.  According to the advertising, this site takes typed text in English and translates it into spoken Spanish.
